Safe Sanctuary Procedures

Cypress Methodist Church is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for all children and youth. The following procedures help ensure their protection and the accountability of all staff and volunteers.

STEP 1. SUBMIT Background Authorization

All individuals who wish to work with children or youth, or who may have access to them, must complete an application and authorize a background investigation.

STEP 2. READ Policies and Procedures

All volunteers and staff serving with children or youth are required to read the Safe Sanctuary Policies and Procedures in their entirety. After reviewing the document, please sign the agreement form on the final page of the booklet and return it to the Student Director. Signed forms may be submitted by email to youth@cypressmc.org. Hard copies are also available in the church office. Completion of this step confirms that you understand and agree to follow the policies that help us maintain a safe and caring environment for every child and youth at Cypress Methodist Church.
